IDT Search Accelerator and Network Search Engine Families Enable Higher Bandwidth and Network Intelligence across Multiple H3C Platforms
March 7, 2008

SAN JOSE, Calif. - March 07, 2008 – IDT® (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; NASDAQ: IDTI), a leading provider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions that enrich the digital media experience, today announced that H3C Technologies Co., Limited, one of the leading global IP technology and solution providers, has selected IDT network search solutions for H3C’s current and future networking, wireless, and storage products.
The IDT network search engines (NSE) and search accelerators will provide H3C with the higher bandwidth and network intelligence needed to deliver converged voice, data, and video services across multiple H3C products -- all while delivering the industry’s combined highest performance and lowest power per entry searched. The IDT devices’ ability to offload critical packet header processing tasks makes it especially well suited for H3C’s converged network applications.
“When evaluating network search solutions, the IDT feature-rich and high performance product portfolio best helped us solve our various application requirements,” said Ricky Ji, wireless product manager with H3C.  “We are pleased with both the outstanding product features as well as the excellent support provided by IDT.”
“At IDT, we continue to extend our lead in the packet processing space, developing search solutions that allow our customers, like H3C, to focus their development efforts on building highly reliable and differentiated networking features,” said Dave Cech, director of marketing for the IDT IP co-processor division. “We see an on-going demand for high-bandwidth, high-quality, multimedia packet-based services.   Our search solutions together with H3C technologies will help meet that demand.”
As an innovative IP-based network architecture solutions provider, H3C aims to create maximum value for its global customers and partners by providing excellent service and quality products with a high performance to cost ratio.  H3C initiated the IToIP architecture concept, aiming to build converged network infrastructures that integrate networking, security, storage and multimedia communications to enable service-oriented applications.
About IDT Network Search Engines and Search Accelerators
IDT provides a comprehensive family of NSEs that accelerate packet processing and enable intelligent application management in next-generation networking equipment. The IDT NSE portfolio includes a family of custom devices, as well as families of NSEs with high-performance interfaces for ASICs, and glue-less interfaces to leading network processors, to accelerate packet classification and forwarding in core, metro and access networks.
Building on the industry leading IDT NSE family, the IDT search accelerator assists packet header processing with industry leading performance and service capabilities at wire speed. The IDT search accelerators process complex IPv6 policy lookups at 40 Gbps throughput and beyond, enabling next-generation networking equipment to work faster, smarter and more efficiently. The search accelerator implements enhanced error detection and correction to ensure the data integrity of the integrated TCAM array while providing the most reliable search solution in the market.  In addition, the search accelerator is also supported by a comprehensive suite of development tools that facilitate easy programming and early testing, reducing cost, speeding time-to-market, and ultimately protecting the end-user software investment.
With the goal of continuously improving the digital media experience, IDT integrates its fundamental semiconductor heritage with essential innovation, developing and delivering low-power, mixed signal solutions that solve customer problems.  Headquartered in San Jose, Calif., IDT has design, manufacturing and sales facilities throughout the world. IDT stock is traded on the NASDAQ Global Select Stock Market® under the symbol “IDTI.” Additional information about IDT is accessible at
