The ability to start writing code at the API level is redefining how embedded systems and IoT products will be developed and maintained over their product life cycles. In the past, software for MCU has been provided by MCU suppliers on an "as is" basis with no warranty, no systematic long-term maintenance, and without a complete package that included a major commercial RTOS at its core.
