简介

To use batteries safely, battery management systems need to estimate the State Of Charge (SOC) and State Of Health (SOH) of batteries. BMS application models and software reduce the effort and time required to develop applications to estimate State Of Charge and State Of Health.

Two types of reference boards with ASIL-compliant MCUs are available to control the ISL78714 with high measurement accuracy and excellent long-term drift performance.

  • Reduce potential design rework through simulation at the design stage by using a sample application model and a sample battery model of Simulink®.
  • Reduce software programming effort by automatically generating sample application software from sample application models (autocode).
  • Reduce software programming effort by providing sample driver software to control Battery Management IC (BMIC) and Intelligent Power Device (IPD).
  • Support development in the Renesas environment by providing application notes covering everything from simulation on a PC to execution on the board.
  • The sample application supports both a BMS board with a dual core (Main 1 + Checker 1) RH850/P1M for functional safety and a single-BMIC evaluation kit with a single core (Main 1 + Checker 0) RH850/F1KM EVK for lower cost.
