Easy BLDC Motor Control Using RAJ 306000 Motor Control IC
The Renesas Motor Control Evaluation System for RAJ 306000 allow you to control a permanent magnet synchronous motor (brushless DC motor) using the RAJ 306000 motor control IC. Get up and running fast with the motor included in the kit or by using the downloadable sample software. A waveform table tool is available by purchasing an optional communication card.
Motor Drive Using the RX/RL Microcontroller
The Renesas "24V Motor Control Evaluation System for RX23T" allow you to easily evaluate solutions for low voltage permanent magnet synchronous motors using the board included in the kit and software downloaded from the website.
CPU cards (purchased separately) allow you to conduct evaluations using a different microcontroller.
Renesas Motor Workbench 2.0: Motor Control Development Tool 2.0
Using the 24V Motor Control Evaluation System for RX23T, Renesas Motor Workbench can display waveforms of the internal variables of the microcontroller in real time and automatically extract vector control parameters. With this update, high-speed communication of ICS++ (In Circuit Scope plus) by Desk Top Laboratories Inc. has been supported, and functions and usability have been improved.
It greatly contributes to improvement of debugging efficiency in the user system.
Added Math function to calculate the waveform to the real time waveform display.
It can perform arithmetic operations, trigonometric functions, and arithmetic of waveforms.
Also, it is possible to display only the arithmetic expression.
It is effective for checking the deviation and displaying the model formula.
Display of average value
The display of the average value was added to each channel of the waveform display.
Expand waveform display candidate channel number to 32
The number of variables that can be set as waveform display candidates has been expanded to 32.
Since it is possible to select the variable you want to check from the preset maximum of 32 variables according to the application, it is easy to switch the variable to display the waveform.
Alias definition of variable name
Added a function to define an alias as a display name to be used in RMW as a variable.
It defines aliases for variables with long names, variable names difficult to understand meanings, and so on.
It is also useful when operating by development members other than software developers.
This function changes the color of the status lamp and displays the status name when the variable value matches the set condition.
It is a convenient function for mode transition confirmation and error cause display.
Scope Capture & Image Editor
A function to capture the waveform display screen and an editor function to insert a textbox and a markup balloon have been added.
It is a convenient function when saving measured waveforms, comparing, and creating reports.
Reduce input parameters to two
The input parameter of Auto-adjust parameters has been reduced to 2, rated current and number of pole pairs.
Scope & Memory
Added the function to display waveform after Auto-adjust parameters.
Up to three waveforms can be stored in the GUI, so comparison can be done easily.
It inputs known parameters and omits the identification of the entered parameters.
Authentication Expiration Notice
For current users of Renesas Motor Workbench
When starting this tool, the following message about the expiration date of authentication may be displayed.
- License expires soon: Displays when less than 30 days remain before the expiration date.
- Expiration date out: Displays when the expiration date is passed.
To continue using the tool after the certificate expires, you need to import the latest authentication file and update the authentication.
- Download the latest authentication file after answering a simple questionnaire.
- Import the authentication file by clicking the "Select" button on the certificate expiration message screen shown above.

These optional CPU cards for the 24V Motor Control Evaluation System for RX23T allow you to evaluate motor control using a different microcontroller by purchasing an additional CPU card and swapping it.
