Renesas Electronics Singapore Trade Compliance Policy

Please find, herein, our Trade Compliance Policy Statement.

It is the policy of Renesas Electronics Singapore Pte. Ltd. (RESG) to comply with the Singapore Strategic Goods Control Act/Regulations, related domestic legislations and relevant laws and regulations of foreign government including but not limited to countries where we exercise imports and exports.

We must ensure compliance with the laws and regulations established as means to contribute to the preservation of international peace and security through prevention of proliferation of nuclear weapons, biological and chemical weapons, missiles to deliver them (hereinafter referred to as the “WMD” Weapons of Mass Destruction) and through prevention of excessive build-up of conventional arms.

Any questions concerning the legitimacy of a transaction or potential violations should be referred to the strategic goods control officer(s) and/or member of ERC, Export Regulation Committee, within 2 working days.

In order to pursue the above policy, understanding and implementing our IECP, Internal Export Compliance Program, fulfilling to the terms and conditions of the STS, Strategic Trade Scheme for our Bulk Permit, are required of every employee, and is considered an implicit part of his/her job plan.

As the violation of export laws and regulations can carry significant penalties to the company, any employee who knowingly violates or not reported should he/she has reason to believe that a violation has been or is about to take place will be subjected to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
