DAQ on a Stick signal solutions are snap in USB sticks that interface strain, temperature or pressure sensors into Renesas’ ultra-low power, precision analog products and are then linearized by our industry leading microcontrollers. The complete solution, USB plug in, hardware and software, is ready to go, simply plug, click and start collecting data.

The reference designs incorporate low power multiplexers, precision instrumentation amplifiers, 24-bit Delta-Sigma ADCs, and a precision digital potentiometer to calibrate the system. The RL78 industry standard microcontroller runs the sticks and interfaces the sensor data into any USB port.

Reference Kit

DAQ on a Stick Strain Gauge

The DAQ on a Stick Renesas Strain Gauge is a compact design that draws power through the USB port and uses a graphical user interface (GUI) to display the real-time voltage readings from a bridge strain gauge or a user supplied sensor.

DAQ on a Stick with Semitec RTD Temperature Sensor

The DAQ on a Stick with Semitec RTD Temperature Sensor application uses a DAQ on a stick reference design that has been modified to work with a Semitec 103AP-2 RTD temperature sensor.

DAQ on a Stick with Honeywell Pressure Sensor

The DAQ on a Stick with Honeywell Pressure Sensor uses Renesas’ data acquisition (DAQ) on a stick reference design with Honeywell’s NBP Series-Uncompensated/Unamplified 0psi to 30psi basic board mount pressure sensor.

DAQ on a Stick Renesas Thermocouple

The DAQ on a Stick Renesas Thermocouple draws power through the USB port and uses a graphical user interface (GUI) to display the real-time temperature.

DAQ on a Stick Strain Gauge with Programmable Chopper Stabilized In Amp

The DAQ on a Stick Strain Gauge with Programmable In Amp is a self-contained demo showing a complete signal chain solution that displays the real-time voltage readings from a bridge strain gauge or a user supplied sensor.
