A temperature controller is a device with temperature measurement and temperature control functions. The sensor signal from the thermocouple and the temperature measuring resistor (RTD) is processed by the microcontroller and temperature control is performed by external equipment. You may also want a recorder to record a history of the temperature. Multi-channel analog front-ends are needed to handle multiple sensing signals. And, the measured data can be sent to the devices above such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) via the communication function. Some are also equipped with a small display to display the measurement results.

The RX23E-A microcontroller has a built-in high-precision 24-bit ⊿ΣA/D with low noise, low offset drift and low gain drift characteristics for thermocouple and temperature measuring resistor measurement and contributes to high accuracy and miniaturization of equipment through a combination of digital functions such as DSP/FPU and the temperature measuring unit in a one-chip solution.
