Overview
Description
With this e-fuse box reference board, Renesas provides an efficient solution for power distribution systems. The compact, only 30cm2 sized board includes 10 output channels switched by Renesas Intelligent Power Devices (IPD), which enable intelligent and protected switching of high currents. The e-fuse function is realized by using the current feedback of the IPDs. The control of the e-fuse is done by software programmed on an RL78 MCU. The fuse characteristic is configurable and can be adjusted to a variety of cables and conditions. A GUI is available for control and configuration of the reference board. As communication interfaces CAN and LIN transceivers are integrated on the board.
