Ultra-low-power, small footprint MCUs play an important role in the rapid expansion of the Internet of Things. These battery-operated and (often) portable sensing nodes collect, monitor and process the real-world data that powers IoT.

During this webinar you will learn what makes Renesas’ RL78 microcontrollers ideal for these IoT edge nodes and the importance of near-sensor processing, highlighted by real-world application examples that provide everything needed to “build your own” IoT application.

Speaker

Michael Clodfelter, Sr. Staff Applications Engineer, Renesas Electronics

Michael specializes in the design and development of microcontroller-based embedded platforms for low-Power, battery-operated IoT sub-systems. In his 20+ years at NEC/Renesas he has gained expertise in analog interfaces, LCD and VF displays, digital A/V and more supporting applications in industrial and building automation, telecom, automotive and white goods. A member if IEEE and graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Michael is also a HAM Radio enthusiast.
