This solution drives an external element whether it be a coil for heating, a wire for generating a magnetic field, or an inductor to propel a motor. A microcontroller (MCU) sends a pulse width modulated signal to the gate driver that efficiently connects power to the driving element or removes the charge from it. A comparator and amplifiers are used to monitor current flow and trigger any overcurrent events.
