Overview

Description

This reference design presents multi-channel measurement for industrial networks and Wi-Fi. The signal processing required for sensing is performed by the microcontroller (MCU) with the high-precision analog front-end (AFE) mounted on the edge side. This makes it possible to reduce the processing load on the host MCU.

System Benefits​:

  • A custom industrial network is easily realized by host MCU and sensor unit with edge MCU
  • Distributed control of sensor edge: Complete from AD conversion to digital signal processing required for sensing on the sensor edge with high-performance edge MCU
  • High-precision sensing by an analog front-end with less than 0.1% precision without calibration
  • Easily link with other systems via Wi-Fi
