Renesas Product and Technology Demonstrations

RX Solutions: Experience the Core Difference of Renesas RX MCUs, including the new RX100 MCUs, the market’s first 32-bit MCU to feature True Low Power. This demo will showcase the ability of the RX100 to cycle through Run mode and Software stand-by.

Smart Home Solutions: Showcasing Renesas’ technologies for connected home automation, including a next-generation smart thermostat with wireless communication capabilities powered by a low-power Renesas RL78 MCU and Gainspan wireless SoC. The demo will highlight the ability to control the thermostat locally through buttons or remotely via Wi-Fi from a smart phone app.

Energy Harvesting: The award-nominated Future Electronics Energy Harvesting Platform featuring RL78 MCU will highlight Renesas’ mixed signal technology that delivers the highest power density available in Point-of-Load Solutions. The demo will showcase the platform’s modular design, which allows users to switch from a solar energy source, to any other method of harvesting, utilize different electrical storage and recharge methods, and also allows for different application boards.

Low-Power Charging: Highlighting Renesas’ low-power solutions for portable consumer applications, this demo will showcase USB battery-charging capabilities with support for multiple charging sources. Featuring the new low-power RL78/G1C MCU with an Android smartphone and a USB BC1.2-compliant battery charger, the solution will demonstrate dual USB port with battery-charging capabilities for host and device configurations, fully compatible with an android open accessory (AOA).

MICON Car Rally: This demo will showcase Renesas’ high-performance RX, low-power RL78, and R-Car technologies in a short track car rally.
