RL78/G1F

Highly enhanced analog function in RL78 family MCU

 

To extend the RL78 motor control line-up, Renesas is adding the RL78/G1F microcontroller with enhanced analog functionality such as D/A converters, PGA (Programmable Gain Amplifier) for controlling amplification factor by software and very fast 0.07μs (TYP.) comparator, to enable overcurrent detection for high performance inverter circuits.  Furthermore we did add some new multiplex comparator to enable rotor position detection on to support high speed rotation > 50Krpm.
The number of external components can be reduced to achieve savings in cost and space.


By adding the RL78/G1G and RL78/G1F devices to the RL78/G14 line, Renesas is now offering a wide range of motor control devices, which are also suitable for sensing applications or other applications, where enhanced analog functions are required.
