Hi. My name is Ganesh Balamitran, Business Development Manager for RZ microprocessors at Renesas Electronics, and I'm here to talk about the RZ/A Starter Project, the best way to get up and running with the RZ/A Software Package. The RZ/A Software Package was developed to significantly cut down development time for camera and GUI applications on the Renesas RZ/A microprocessor.
It includes an SDK for the TES Guiliani tool, a camera SDK, as well as the QE tool for real time display adjustments. The RZ/A Starter Project delivers ready-to-use sample applications built on top of the RZ/A Software Package. So the RZ/A Starter Project really shows you, the engineer, how to quickly develop applications on the RZ/A Software Package.
It is available on both e2 studio and IAR Integrated Development Environments. Here is a sample list of applications that are part of the RZ/A Software Package. We have a demo for the TES Guiliani tool and GUI. You can also learn how to develop camera applications with the camera SDK, which includes the QE display tool. There is a Touch Panel sample and Starter Project samples for web server, USB host and USB function, the A to D converter, as well as for playing and recording sound.
The RZ/A Software Package and Starter Project comes with a prepaid worldwide perpetual license for the TES Giuliani GUI framework. TES Giuliani is a high-end, platform agnostic, HMI framework with a highly efficient GUI design methodology. You can design the HMI on a PC with the Guiliani WYSIWYG Editor, simulate the HMI application on the PC, and seamlessly load and execute it on the target board.
The QE for display are quick and easy tool for display settings, which is included with this package, is a tool to easily set up image display through the video display controller on the RZ/A. The graphical interface on the QE tool supports easy settings for LCD panel timings, refresh rates and adjustments, as well as image quality adjustments like brightness, contrast, sharpness, gamma correction, dithering, rotation, and mirroring of images. So let's get started with the easy to use RZ/A Software Package by trying out the applications in the RZ/A Starter Project on the Stream-It! board from Renesas.
