This is the development kit for CPU modules equipped with Renesas’ RZ/G1M-PF CPU.

iWave Japan Co., Ltd. has begun offering a System-On-Module (SOM) equipped with the RZ/G1M, a microprocessor (MPU) from Renesas Electronics Corporation. The RZ/G1M-equipped SOM is a Qseven R2.0-compatible MPU module.

The module supports 1-GB DDR3 RAM, 4-GB eMMC flash, and 2-MB SPI NOR flash (expandable). It also offers Linux BSP and supports Gigabit Ethernet PHY, Micro SD slot, USB HUB, and more. The Qseven module supports a range of industrial operating temperatures, making it useful for a variety of industrial applications. Renesas’ RZ/G1M MPU integrates dual Arm^® Cortex^®-A15 cores running at a maximum frequency of 1.5 GHz. The module includes a variety of high-performance peripherals, such as the PowerVR SGX544MP2 3D graphics core from Imagination Technologies Ltd., 32-bit DDR3-1600 memory, dual-channel full HD encode and decode, 3-channel video IN support, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, and more. The cost-effective yet high-performance RZ/G1M-equipped SOM brings new opportunities for developing a variety of applications, such as entertainment, digital signage, HMI, smart appliances, office equipment, POS, ATM, real-time image recognition, and video surveillance.
