时钟硬件和IEEE 1588协议栈软件能够更容易和更快速地实现基于分组的同步
美国加利福尼亚州圣何塞，2015年10月26日 - IDT公司(IDT®)（NASDAQ：IDTI）今天宣布推出一个能够简化网络通信设备IEEE 1588同步的全新硬件和软件解决方案。82P339xx-1 产品包括有IEEE 1588兼容的软件和IDT同步管理单元（SMU）芯片，可针对IEEE 1588和同步以太网提供完整的电信网络同步解决方案。
相对于在网络中每个节点采用全球导航卫星系统（GNSS）天线，基于IEEE 1588电信边界时钟（T-BC）的网络同步是一个更实用和具有更高性价比的替代方案。与ITU-T G.8273.2兼容的IEEE 1588电信边界时钟能够在一个基于分组的网络中恢复准确的频率、相位/时间信息。
与其他的芯片解决方案相比，IDT公司的T-BC硬件由于需要更少的外部处理器干预，因此是确定性的（deterministic）、更简单、更自动的解决方案。该硬件/软件解决方案包括一个IEEE 1588协议栈、用于频率和相位/时间的时钟恢复伺服机构（servos），以及具有物理层频率支持的时钟合成硬件。
