High-speed digital output photocouplers (optocouplers) are optically coupled high-speed, totem-pole output isolators containing a gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs) LED on the input side and a photodiode and signal processing circuit on the output side in a single chip. These devices can be used in a wide variety of applications including industrial, solar and general-purpose inverters, intelligent power module (IPM) drivers, measurement and control equipment, Power over Ethernet (PoE), and factory automation networks.
