About the Media Reports Regarding Renesas

TOKYO, Japan, February 8, 2021 ― On Sunday, February 7, 2021, some media outlets such as Bloomberg reported today the potential acquisition of a U.K.-based semiconductor company by Renesas. The reports were not based on Renesas’ announcement. Although the contents of the media reports are largely accurate and we are in discussion to further enhancing our business growth, no decision has been reached as of yet.
