Overview

The RX850 Pro provides an efficient real-time processing and multitask processing environment. It is a real-time/multitask OS for embedded control which was developed with the goal of expanding the range of applications in the field of target processor control devices. Since the RX850Pro is assumed to be used embedded in the target system, it is aware of being ROM-based and is a high-speed and compact OS.

Features

Conforms to the µITRON Ver. 3.0 Specification:

As the architecture of the OS for embedded control, the RX850Pro has been designed to comply to the representative µITRON Ver. 3.0 Specification, and it implements functions up to level E. The µITRON Ver. 3.0 Specification is an operating system specification for real-time systems for embedded control.

Excellent versatility:

The RX850 Pro provides system calls specified by the µITRON 3.0 specification, and additionally provides RX850 Pro original system calls, which improves the general versatility of the application system. Additionally, on the RX850 Pro, since only the functions (system calls) used by the application system can be selected during configuration, a real-time/multitask OS can be configured which is compact and optimized for the user's needs.

Implementing real-time processing, multitask processing:

Task management functions, Task-dependent synchronization functions, Synchronization and communications functions, Interrupt management functions, Memory pool management functions, Time management functions, System management functions, Scheduling functions.

Scheduling lock functions:

Provides functions to disable/resume dispatch processing (scheduling of tasks). In this way, the user can disable/resume dispatch processing from the process program level.

ROM-based implementation:

Since the RX850 is a real-time/multitask OS assumed to be used embedded in the target system, it is aware of being ROM-based and has been designed to be compact.

Utilizes original instructions:

Implements high-speed processing by the V850 microcontroller's high-speed instruction execution speed and through the utilization of original instructions.

Utilizes internal ROM/RAM:

By utilizing the V850 microcontroller's internal ROM/RAM, high-speed instruction execution and high-speed data access is realized.

Configurator CF850 Pro, Task debugger RD850 Pro, System performance analyzer AZ850, High-level language interface library.
