Renesas provides various kinds of on-chip debugging emulators which offer standard debugging functions at low price. On-chip debugging emulator has the following features.
- Real-time debugging with microcomputer mounted on the user system
- MINICUBE2, E1, E20, and E8a are usable as flash programmers also.
- Ideal for small-scale development and microcomputer evaluation

E1
On-chip debugging emulator for V850, RX Family, RL78 Family, R8C Family, 78K0R, and 78K0. Also available as a flash memory programmer.
E20
On-chip debugging emulator for V850, RX Family, RL78 Family, R8C Family, 78K0R, and 78K0. In addition to the debugging functions supported by E1, the E20 provides enhanced trace functions, Real-time RAM monitor functions and other functions as well. Also available as a flash memory programmer.
As for MCUs other than RX600 Series, the available debugging function corresponds to that of E1 Emulator.

On-chip debugging emulator for V850, 78K0R, 78K0, and 78K0S. Also available as a flash memory programmer.
MINICUBE
On-chip debugging emulator for V850, 78K0, and 78K0S MCUs.
E10A-USB
On-chip debugging emulator for SuperH RISC engine, H8SX and H8S Family.

On-chip debugging emulator that makes use of the debugging circuit NSD (New Single-wire Debugger), that is built in the R32C/100Series MCUs. NSD is Renesas original OCD (On-chip Debugger).
