Overview

The SH7540 Series is a high-performance RISC microcontroller embedded with a 32-bit SH-4A CPU core. It consists of the SH7450, SH7451, SH7455 and SH7456 Groups.
The SH7450 and SH7451 have a maximum operating frequency of 240 MHz that delivers processing performance of 432 MIPS or more as well as single-precision floating-point operation performance of up to 1.68 GFLOPS. Their large on-chip memory capacity enables them to control large volumes of sensor data. They integrate communication functions needed for vehicle networks and enhanced peripheral functions essential for on-board camera control or vehicle millimeter-wave systems. The compact 17 mm x 17 mm, 0.8 mm pin pitch BGA package is suitable for compact systems, making these MCUs ideal for applications such as driver-assist systems. The SH7455, SH7456 Group combines the advanced performance and features of the SH7450, SH7451 Group with a strictly selected function site. It comes in a 13 mm x 13 mm compact BGA package with 42% less mounting area than the SH7450, SH7451 Group, and supports even more light-weight, space-saving, and low-cost automotive systems.
