What is "DOT LCD"?
RENESAS has commercially released two new 8-bit single-chip
microcomputers (H8/3857F and H8/3854F), each feature a built-in flash memory.
They respectively have a low power consumption flash memory for battery-operated mobile devices with LCD displays (such as mobile health devices and portable electronic games) and a built-in dot-matrix display LCD controller driver.
This product allows reduction of the current consumed at 32KHz clock operation to less than 1/20th that of RENESAS's previous models, and at the same time, offers a high definition maximum 1,280-dot display, and is ideal for battery-operated devices.
With a flash memory, this unit enables rapid adaptation to differing display patterns and to a wide range of changes in targeted applications.
