The RL78/G1x (general purpose group) is a true low power MCU series within the RL78 family.

RL78/G10 : Low Pin Count (Timers, SIO, 8/10-bit ADC, SPOR)
RL78/G12,G13 : Standard (Timers, SIO, 8/10-bit ADC, DMAC , POR/LVD, data flash)
RL78/G1A : Enhanced analog function (12-bit ADC) from RL78/G13
RL78/G14 : High-Function (Encoder timers, Motor control timer, Data transfer control, Event link controller)
RL78/G1C : USB Host/Function interface, Support battery charging 1.2
RL78/G1G : Motor control timer, PGA(Programmable gain amplifier), High speed comparators
