H8SX microcomputers incorporate an on-chip USB controller to enable easy connection between PCs and other applications equipped with USB interfaces such as printers, scanners, modems, and other PC peripherals.

- H8SX/1653 Group
- The H8SX/1653 Group is a 32-bit CISC microcomputer with a maximum operating frequency of 50 MHz. It is a suitable device for high-speed processing for application controls, etc. Additionally, various communication functions are supported, and simple, high-speed communication with external devices is possible.
- H8SX/1655 Group
- The H8SX/1655 Group enhances the analog functions (ADC and DAC) of the existing H8SX/1658R Group. Peripheral functions have been further enhanced with a 10-bit ADC (2units) which achieves a conversion speed of 1 μs (2.7 times the conventional speed) and an on-chip 10-bit DAC (8-bit for H8SX/1658R). The H8SX/1655 Group is also pin-to-pin compatible with the H8SX/1658R Group.
- H8SX/1658R, H8SX/1658M Group
- The H8SX/1658R Group is a 32-bit CISC microcomputer with a maximum operating frequency of 50 MHz. It is upward pin-to-pin compatible with H8SX/1653 group and supports ROM size from 384K to 1MB. The on-chip peripheral functions have been enhanced with 2 units of TPU, PPG and ADC. And On-chip EXDMAC allows for parallel data transfer on the internal bus and external bus.
- H8SX/1663 Group
- The H8SX/1663 Group is similar to H8SX/1653 group, a 32bit CISC microcomputer with a maximum operating frequency of 50 MHz. It is a suitable device for high-speed processing for application controls, etc. Additionally, various peripheral functions, SDRAM I/F and 32 kHz subclock function are available.
- H8SX/1665 Group
- The H8SX/1665 Group enhances the analog functions (ADC and DAC) of the existing H8SX/1668R Group. Peripheral functions have been further enhanced with a 10-bit ADC (2units) which achieves a conversion speed of 1 μs (2.7 times the conventional speed) and an on-chip 10-bit DAC (8-bit for H8SX/1668R). The H8SX/1665 Group is also pin-to-pin compatible with the H8SX/1668R Group.
- H8SX/1668R, H8SX/1668M Group
- The H8SX/1668R Group is a 32-bit CISC microcomputer with a maximum operating frequency of 50 MHz. It is upward pin-to-pin compatible with H8SX/1663 group and supports ROM size from 384K to 1MB. The on-chip peripheral functions have been enhanced with 2 units of TPU, PPG and ADC. And On-chip EXDMAC allows for parallel data transfer on the internal bus and external bus.
