Overview

SuperH is an embedded RISC developed for high cost-performance,
miniaturization, and performance per unit of power consumption (MIPS/W). We are
developing CPU cores for a wide range of applications and functions and have
many products available. Our product lines include a series with the SH-2 as
the CPU core and on-chip large-capacity flash memory and peripheral functions
such as timer, serial I/O, and AD converter, and a series with the SH-3 or SH-4
as the CPU core, which achieves high-speed data processing and is equipped with
cache and MMU. Additionally, there is lineup of series with the SH2-DSP or
SH3-DSP as the CPU core, which have full DSP functions and an emphasis on
multimedia and communications processing. Currently available products also
have lots of features, such as low power modes, low power consumption, and
small size. Various versatile operating systems and development tools have been
improved, allowing for more efficient development.

 |
 SuperH microcomputers incorporate timer units that generate three-phase PWM
waveforms with deadtime and 10-bit A/D converter, which make them ideal for
inverter control. They are used in various applications, including industrial
equipment such as AC servos and inverter white goods such as air
conditioners.

 SuperH microcomputers with on-chip USB easily realize embedded equipment
with communication function with PCs and other USB-interface equipped
applications.

 The SH7780 Series is the high-end SuperH processor, which uses the new SH-4A
CPU core.The SH-4A instruction set is fully SH-4 upward compatible. Operating
frequency in the SH-4A is much faster than the existing SH-4 CPU core.
Furthermore, the SH-4A CPU core includes an FPU that supports both
single-precision and double-precision arithmetic operations.

 The SuperH Family is a range of 32-bit microcomputers suitable for built-in
hardware, realizing faster processing speed and reduced power consumption, with
RISC system instructions adopted. The SH7750 Series (SH-4) uses Harvard
Architecture, has a 2-way Superscalar system, and can execute two
instuctions in parallel. The integer performance is 430MIPS (Dhrystone@240MHz).
Also, high-speed FPU is on-chip, and FPU performance of 1.7GFLOPS is realized
with single-precision matrix operation. Additionally, the on-chip MMU (Memory
Management Unit) supports all standard operating systems, including Windows®CE
and Linux.

 These LSIs based on SH-3/SH3-DSP,and have high performance and low power
consumption. In addition, instruction set is upwardly compatible with SH-1 and
SH-2. The on-chip memory management unit (MMU) supports operating systems such
as Windows® CE and Linux. There is also a product having A/D, D/A and USB, and
the LCD controller, and you can use it for various uses.

 The SH7210 Series incorporates an SH-2A CPU core which is fully
upwardly-compatible with SH-1 and SH-2.
The SH-2A CPU core employs a superscalar architecture enabling
simultaneous execution of two instructions. Compared with the
conventional SH-1 and SH-2, a tremendous increase in processing performance is
realized.

 The SH7137 series incorporates a 32-bit RISC SH-2 core. The SH7137 series
operates at a maximum frequency of 80 MHz, representing a 1.6-fold improvement
in performance over the 50 MHz of Renesas Technology's current SH7047 Series.
The SH7137 series includes on-chip peripheral functions such as a powerful
16-bit timer suitable for inverter control, a high-precision 12-bit A/D
converter, CAN (Car Area Network) compatible interface.

 The SH7280 Series incorporates an SH-2A CPU core which
is fully upwardly-compatible with the SH-1 and SH-2. The SH-2A CPU core employs

 The SH7080 Series feature SH-2 core microcontrollers with on-chip high
performance flash memory. The on-chip flash memory allows for high speed
operation known as single cycle access at 80Mhz. There are packages of 100pin,
112pin, 144pin, and 176pin in the lineup.

 The SH7606 Series are high-end microcontrollers which offer excellent cost
performance. The SH7606 Series incorporates a ROM-less SH-2 core equipped with
cache memory. The SH7606 Series is also equipped with periphal IOs such as
serial and bus state controllers which can connect directly to PC cards, burst
ROM and SDRAM etc.

 The SH7146 Series incorporates an SH-2 32-bit RISC (Reduced Instruction Set
Computer) CPU core, and offers a maximum operating frequency of 80 MHz,
representing a 1.6-fold improvement in performance over the 50 MHz of Renesas
Technology’s current SH7046 Series. Featuring an on-chip power supply step-down
circuit, these microcontrollers are designed to achieve lower current
dissipation by suppressing the increase in current dissipation associated with
higher speed, and attain 5 V single-power-supply operation while a high 80 MHz
operating frequency.

 The SH7047 Series incorporates peripherals suitable for inverter control

 The SH7030 Series is a first-generation member of the SuperH Series and
incorporates CPU core (SH-1) with a maximum operating frequency of 60MHz. The
expansive lineup includes low-cost ROMless versions with diverse built-in
