Overview
Flat-panel display (FPD) power supplies are used in product ranges such as HD digital TVs, PC monitors, and plasma display panel (PDP) TVs. The market for these types of products has grown substantially in recent years, due to increasing availability of digital services and digital media content. The screen size and precision of TVs and monitors using FPDs are constantly increasing and need to be eco-friendly, as they are typically in use for several hours every day.
Renesas offers a lineup of FPD power supply solutions, including PFC devices and forward converters providing improved AC-to-DC conversion efficiency and DC-to-DC converters suitable for a variety of power supply voltages. These products extensively support the development of FPD power supplies for FPD applications.
