Overview
A central control panel (CCP) includes the communication hardware to allow the monitoring and control of a building's lighting system. It contains a keyboard and display to control and indicate the status of the various sensors, controls and lights in the system. It may also include an infrared interface for remote control. In larger building management systems the function of the lighting control panel may be combined with a control panel in a fire and security system.
Renesas offers a range of 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers ideally suited for embedded system control for various levels of complexity. The high-end 32-bit V850 microcontroller is especially recommended for designers wanting a graphical operating panel as a GUI.
