Overview
Electronic blind control optimizes the quality of light in a building. It controls the positions or movements of blinds for different lighting conditions, for example day and night, summer and winter, and sun and cloud. The blind control may be linked with the air conditioning system for further energy savings. Equipped with additional sensors, the risk of damage by high winds can be avoided. Manual control of the blinds may be achieved via infrared remote control.
Renesas' range of 8/16-bit microcontrollers that are equipped with the necessary functions such as A/D converter for use in sensors and LCD controller for setting display is ideally suited for these applications.
