Overview
Warm water washing toilet seats are hit products because they provide great comfort and important hygienic benefits. In Japan, sales of such toilet seats have increased every year, to the point where today approximately 70 percent of Japanese households have them. In addition, new products with greater functionality in addition to the basic functions of seat warming and warm water spray are appearing. Added features include warm-air drying, odor elimination, room heating, automatic toilet flushing, and automatic open/close. Some of the newer seat systems use a sensor to detect the presence of a person approaching and heat the seat instantly. Because a warm water washing toilet seats constantly consumes electricity, low power consumption is important for eco-friendliness and many models feature a low-power setting.
