Dishwasher

Overview

Automatic dishwashers are common time-and-work-savers in many households. Dishwashers use jets of hot water applied at high pressure to remove dirt effectively. Since the water inside the dishwasher is reused in cyclic fashion for washing, they consume less water than hand washing, making them eco-friendly.

Dishwashers require fine-grained control over water pumps and complex system control over valves, etc. To meet these requirements, Renesas Electronics supplies 78K0R and the microcontrollers in the R8C Family, among others, as solutions for system control and operation, as well as semiconductor devices such as control TRIACs and power MOSFETs. These chips are designed to meet demand for advanced functionality, high-performance, reduced power consumption, and lower cost.
