Air Conditioner (High-End)

Overview

The increasing use of air conditioning in both industrial and smaller domestic usage is driving the demand for reduced power consumption and smaller compressor units. Additionally, fine-grained control using multiple sensors is required in response to the needs of maintaining a comfortable room temperature and additional functions such as automatic self-cleaning filters and air flow control with motion sensors.

Renesas offers a variety of microcontrollers for air conditioner control to realize a more comfortable living environment. The RX62T and the V850E/Ixx have sensor-less brushless motor control functions suitable for inverter control in outdoor units. The RL78 Family and the RX210 Series are designed for indoor units. The 179K Series and the 38D2 Group of LCD MCUs are for use in remote controls. Renesas delivers solutions optimized to customer requirements.
