Overview
Flat panel TV (plasma TV) is highly regarded in the marketplace for its fast response time and high contrast. There is a demand for green systems that deliver large screen dimensions and excellent picture quality. Power consumption and panel service life have improved to the point where they are rivaling the specifications of LCD panels. Refined design and strict selection of component parts will be the key to achieving both bigger screen size and lower power consumption.
Renesas offers an extensive lineup of semiconductor devices to meet market demand for environmental-friendlessness (eg. low power consumption) and excellent picture quality with high brightness. These include MCUs, PFC ICs (Power Factor Correction ICs), such as the R2A20xxx Series, and IGBTs, such as RJP30H1DPP for sustain circuits.
