Overview
Digital camcorder models offering HD resolution and multiple storages (SD memory cards or HDD) have become the standard. In addition to image processing, digital camcorders require various controls, including flashlight, motor, remote, flash memory for image recording, and USB interface.
Renesas recommends the R8C/Lx series, with embedded on-chip LCD controller, for operations control. In addition, other devices and solutions are available for digital camcorder applications, including motor drivers, thyristors for flash charging, IGBTs, multi-DC-DC converters, battery chargers, and USB controllers.
