As emissions and fuel economy requirements become stricter year by year, demand has grown for more precise control in powertrain systems. The Renesas SH705x Series of MCUs for powertrain systems is already well-established in the marketplace, and it is now joined by an extensive lineup of MCUs built around more powerful V850 and SH-2A CPU cores, enabling further improvements in performance alongside reduced power consumption.
